13 Night Cruise aboard the Celebrity Equinox

This cruise has one of those
itineraries that incorporated so many destinations from our buck list
that it was hard to believe it was packaged into one 15 night trip. It
was one of those dream cruises that we always said would be a great one
to take if we had the time and monies to do so but didn’t really believe
we would do it, not at least this early in our life. Wow, it covered
the romantic, the classic, the historic, and the adventurous elements of
exploration. The ancient world was our agenda, old world civilizations
were our ports of call, and the biblical holy land our spiritual
journeying.
Our trip started in Tallahassee,
Florida on a leisurely late morning flight. The flight was late
arriving, therefore late leaving causing us to panic run in Atlanta,
Georgia to catch our connecting flight to Chicago, Ill. We did catch
the flight but was sure our baggage did not. After a half layover in
Chicago, we boarded our flight, found our seats, and settled into our
long flight over the pond. We awoke after a few hours of light sleep to
the sun shining through the airplane windows and a view of a whole new
beautiful coastline and uncharted territory.

Within twenty minutes we were on the
ground in Italy. We walked down the outside stairs to bright warm
weather, boarded a shuttle bus, and was whisk off to find our luggage.
To our surprise and joy our bags were there. Upon exiting the airport
we found our hired shuttle / limo driver with a little sign that had our
name spelled all wrong and a driver with no understanding of English.
